Alright y’all, TikTok’s NOT selling to Elon Musk. ByteDance (a representative for China-based TikTok) called the whole thing “pure fiction” after rumors had folks thinking Elon might scoop it up just before the January 19 deadline; aka the funeral date for our fave app.

Here’s the Scoop: TikTok filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court, saying this ban violates the First Amendment and could snatch the app from 170M U.S. users. Meanwhile, the U.S. government’s yelling “national security threat” louder than a Karen in customer service.
And that law? It’s wild. The “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act” would basically tell Apple, Google, and web hosts to kick TikTok off their platforms unless ByteDance hands it over to someone NOT on the “foreign adversary” list.
The Supreme Court's vibe? Lowkey pro-ban. So unless there’s a Hail Mary play, TikTok’s U.S. chapter could close forreal.
