We’re diving into the much-anticipated solo debut from Miss NO Bars herself, JT. Known for her explosive entrance into the game alongside Yung Miami, our girl JT has finally dropped her debut album/mixtape, "City Cinderella," on July 19th. If you’ve been following the drama and beef between the Florida duo, you know this album is a big deal. Let’s break it down.
City Cinderella: A First Look
"City Cinderella" boasts 16 tracks featuring some major names like DJ Khaled, Stunna Girl, Clip, and Atlanta legend Jeezy. Of all the tracks, my top picks are Hope, DOD, Swang, 90's Baby, Uncle Al, and JT Coming. Stick around to see why these tracks stand out.
1. Hope
Kicking off the album, "Hope" is the perfect intro. It’s an anthem for the dreamers, those who’ve been through it all but never lost sight of their goals. JT gets personal, sharing her struggles and triumphs, including her father’s battle with drugs. This track is raw, real, and motivational, setting the tone for the entire album.
2. Brick Talk
"Brick Talk" had a rocky start for me, but it quickly became a storytime anthem for the trap queens. JT gives us a gritty, unfiltered look into her life, proving that women need trap anthems too. Shout out to JT for keeping it 100.
3. Oh (Feat. DJ Khaled)
This track is all about the come-up. With DJ Khaled hyping her up, JT lets everyone know she’s next in line. The line “Win with us, or watch us win” hits hard, reminding us that JT is here to dominate.
4. Servin
"Servin" gets an immediate star from me. The beat is fire, and JT’s lyrics are unapologetic and fierce. She’s addressing all the haters and letting them know she’s still on top. This track is a straight-up banger.
5. DOD
"DOD" brings those Belly rolling vibes and is an instant club banger. It’s the perfect pull-up song, meant for blasting with the windows down. This track is pure "Pretty Hood Bitch" music, and the Olympic references just add to its appeal. Fyi, “fucking” is a pretty bitch sport.
6. Lemon Pepper (Feat. Stunna Girl)
"Lemon Pepper" is a vibe I didn’t know I needed. Stunna Girl adds a bit of spice, making it a track you can’t help but vibe to. This one’s smooth and addictive.
7. Swang
"Swang" is my absolute favorite. It’s an anthem of hustle and determination. JT was in the studio cooking, and she delivered a no-bars vibe that’s perfect for shutting down the haters. This track is all about keeping your grind strong and your head high.
8. 90's baby
The visuals for track #8 showed that JT understood the assignment. It’s a smooth, laid-back ride through her world, with a loyalty theme that’s hard to ignore. Perfect for the passenger princess who still owns the car.
9. Uncle AL
"Uncle AL" is a summer anthem. It’s fun, energetic, and gives us a taste of JT’s Florida roots. Throw on your skates and ride to this one – it’s a vibe.
10. 11. Sideways & Ohkay
These tracks are already known bangers, but Jeezy’s feature takes them to another level. The Snowman is back, and we’re here for it.
12. JT Coming
"JT Coming" is on repeat. It’s the ultimate supervillain theme song, making you want to get up and move. My favorite bar? “Me and my friends got iced out wrist bands.” This track is pure fire.
"City Cinderella" is JT’s raw, unfiltered story. It’s real, it’s transparent, and it’s JT at her finest. This album is a testament to her hustle and her journey, proving that she’s not just surviving but thriving.
