Have you heard Caresha’s new album yet? Yung Miami just dropped her debut solo album, Watch Dis!, and one track in particular has people talking: “Dear JT.”

And if you know the history between the City Girls, you already know why this one has everybody curious.

During a conversation on The Breakfast Club, Yung Miami opened up about why she dedicated the emotional track to her former City Girls partner and longtime friend, JT. According to Miami, the song is personal, reflecting a relationship that goes way beyond music and fame.

A LETTER TO HER SISTER

Caresha explained that “Dear JT” was her way of expressing feelings she's been carrying about their relationship. These two weren't just business partners who happened to make hit records together. They shared years of friendship, memories and experiences before the world knew them as the City Girls.

Miami has continued to describe JT as her sister, making it clear that their history means more to her than what people see playing out online.

But here's the part that might surprise you: Miami said JT hadn't heard the song before it was released. So while fans are listening and forming opinions, the person at the center of the record is still yet to publicly share her response.

Now, Caresha has put her feelings on wax. The question is, what happens when JT finally hears them?

COULD THE CITY GIRLS WORK THINGS OUT?

During the conversation, Miami also addressed the possibility of the two sitting down to talk. A neutral mediator came up as an option, and the hosts even joked about bringing in Iyanla Vanzant to help them work through their issues.

Listen, if Iyanla gets involved, everybody better have their water ready!

Still, a conversation isn't the same as a confirmed reconciliation. As of this report, there hasn't been an official announcement that the two have made peace or are reuniting as the City Girls.

THE DQ REPORT TAKE

With Watch Dis! giving fans a more personal look at Yung Miami, “Dear JT” adds another layer to a relationship people have watched unfold for years.

Sometimes the people who know us best are the same people we struggle the most to communicate with. And when a friendship has been part of your life for years, there's a lot more to the story than what makes it onto social media.

Have you listened to “Dear JT” yet? Do you think this song could open the door to a conversation between Caresha and JT, or is this simply Miami getting her feelings off her chest?
