UPDATE: OMARION RESPONDS TO MARIO’S “HIT OR MISS” COMMENT

ree

Looks like the R&B drama just got real, y’all. After Cam Newton’s Funky Friday episode where Mario rated today’s singers on whether they could “sing or SANGGG,” one name stuck out — Omarion. When Mario called Omarion “hit or miss,” it didn’t sit right with the O. And now… he’s responding.

During a recent interview with Sway Calloway, Omarion caught wind of the comments and, let’s just say — you could feel the energy shift. Sway asked him directly about Mario’s “hit or miss” statement, and Omarion didn’t hold back.

He said he thought the whole conversation was crazy, especially coming from peers in the same game. According to Omarion, artists should uplift each other, not tear one another down.

Then came the big question — would he ever work with Mario again?

Now, if you remember, Mario and Omarion already went head-to-head in that 2022 Verzuz battle, and it was intense. So when Sway asked, Omarion stood firm and said, “I don’t think so.”

He doubled down, saying it’s all about respect, and in his eyes, Mario doesn’t respect him. Omarion made it clear — none of his success came by chance. It’s all been hard work, dedication, and consistency.

Meanwhile, Mario’s out here reminding the world why he’s still one of R&B’s most consistent voices — recently popping out as a surprise guest during Brandy & Monica’s Los Angeles tour date, where he straight up brought the house down.

Two legends. Two perspectives. One conversation shaking up the culture.

So now we gotta ask again…

Who do YOU think can really SANG — and who’s just hitting notes?
