Alright, y’all, here’s the latest on the Nicki Minaj vs. Brandon Garrett drama I covered earlier. Turns out, the Queen of Rap Lyrics won’t be seeing cuffs anytime soon. TMZ just dropped the news that the request for a warrant in Garrett’s civil lawsuit has been denied by the feds.
According to a rep from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, they reviewed the warrant request from the Detroit Police Department but shut it down due to “insufficient evidence.”
That doesn’t mean the case is completely dead, though. The prosecutor’s office has asked the police to keep investigating, so there could be more to come.
For now, Nicki dodges another legal headache.
