The Rap Beef of #2K18

As we all know 2018 was a great year for music both external and internal, but it also had a few artist going "Back To Back" for a few months over various agreements and disagreements. No matter who your favorite artist is or what your favorite genre is, I am sure you found a good tune too jam to while living your best life in 2018. With so much good music circling the airwaves, we could only imagine who would, finish the year off on top!

Good Music, an American record label founded by Mr.GoldDigger Himself, Kanye West kept his Good Music Fridays alive in #2K18. The Label dropped albums continuously every Friday from artist such as PushaT, Designer, Teyana Taylor, and Nas.

On May 25th the president of the label, Pusha T dropped his 21 minute album entilited "Daytona". The Bronx rapper started his labels trend of releasing only seven tracks on each album followed by the Queen of Good Music, Teyana Taylor.

"It was written like Nas, but it came from Quentin", was the lyric where the Totronto rapper had enough. Less then 24 hours after the album dropped, Drake was caught in his feelings after listening to the conclusion track, "Infrared". Drizzy was upset about the loyally from a friend (Kanye) and fraud comment made by an acquaintance (Pusha).

After dropping "Duppy's Freestyle" with his first couple words being, "IM IN SHOCK

THE NERVE, THE AUDACITY" only a few hours later let us know that Drake doesn't bite his tongue often and he may have out-grown his twitter fingers. The Canadian artist finished his diss track to The Good Music duo by informing them that a invoice for promotion assistance and career revamp will be on its way for $100,000. Not to mention his following track "Im Upset" being released almost 6 hours later.

On June 13th Drake decided to go back into his past and deliver a music video with a theme os his wheelchairs days as a star on Degrassi where he got the cast together and showed the world what love really is.

June 29th Drake dropped his two sided album entailed Scorpion with hits and alleged sneak disses towards Kanye West. With songs like Can't Take A Joke, 8 out of 10, Mob Ties, and Emotionless the state of friendship between the two rappers were dust.

"Meeting all my heroes is like seeing how magic works. People I look up to are going from bad to worse. was a bar that is self expiatory for Kanye but for Pusha too. Drake was a huge fan of the Eclips and even had a signed microphone with Pusha-T name on it.

After not hearing back from Drizzy in a while Pusha-T took it to XXL and said, "I thought this was going to be a running thing, back and forth. I was sure he’d have a rebuttal. I did what I wanted to do. I only deal in truth, how I see things. When you’re dealing with words, it’s a way of dealing with truth and how the pubic process that, how they interpret that. And what touches them and what touches the person you’re going against. I actually thought we were going to keep on."

Yes Drake went on 'The Shop' to talk about the issues with Kanye, Pusha, and even 40 but sadly Pusha T wasn't worried one bit. He put all of his angry to rest and started putting more work in to make sure he gets nominated at the Grammys for 'Daytona. He calls it the perfect album. With the Grammys a few weeks away well see where it lands Mr.President.
